Wet
A wet board is a set of community cards that connect well with many hands, usually because they are suited or in sequence, so many draws are possible. The opposite is a dry board.
The simple explanation
Boards such as 9-T-J of one suit or 5-4-3 are wet. Many players have a pair, a straight draw or a flush draw, so the hands change a lot from one card to the next. Hands with top pair are more vulnerable.
A closer look
On wet boards, strong hands should bet to charge the draws, since free cards are dangerous. Drawing hands gain equity and can often raise or call profitably. Because many hands connect, ranges are more equal, and bet sizes are usually larger for protection. On dry boards, such as K-7-2 of different suits, the best hand is more likely to stay the best, so smaller bets are normal.
A practical example
A flop of 10♥ 9♥ 8♣ is wet: it is connected and has two hearts, so many straight and flush draws exist.
