Wet Board
A wet board is a set of community cards that can make many strong hands and draws, usually because the cards are connected or suited. It leads to more action, since many players can have something.
The simple explanation
Boards such as 9-T-J of two suits are wet. Many hands have a pair, a straight draw or a flush draw, so the situation changes with each card. The opposite is a dry board.
A closer look
On wet boards, strong hands should bet to charge the draws, and drawing hands have a lot of equity. Because many hands connect, ranges are close, and bet sizes are often larger. Wet boards are also called dynamic boards, because hand strengths change a lot on later streets. On dry boards, the best hand tends to stay the best.
A practical example
A flop of 10♥ 9♥ 8♣ is a wet board with many straight and flush draws.
