Four‑Color Deck

A four-color deck is similar to a standard deck, but each of the four suits has a different color. Usually hearts are red, spades are black, clubs are green and diamonds are blue.

The simple explanation

In a normal deck, hearts and diamonds are red, and clubs and spades are black. A four-color deck gives each suit its own color, which makes the suits easier to tell apart.

A closer look

Most online poker sites have an option to use a four-color deck, and many players prefer it. It helps you see flush and flush draws quickly, especially when you play several tables. In live rooms, the standard deck is the usual rule.

A practical example

A player turns on the four-color deck in his online software and sees green clubs and blue diamonds.
