Paint Cards

Paint cards are the king, queen and jack, also called face cards, court cards or picture cards. They have pictures of faces.

The simple explanation

Paint cards are the cards with a face on them: the jack, queen and king.

A closer look

On a board, paint cards are high cards, and they favor the player who raised before the flop, because he has more high cards in his range. A board of K-Q-J is very connected. The words 'paint' and 'face' cards mean the same.

A practical example

The flop is K♠ J♦ Q♥, all paint cards.
