Stuck

Stuck means that a player is losing in a game. 'I'm stuck $300' means that he has lost $300 in the session.

The simple explanation

If you have put in more money than you have won, you are stuck. The opposite is being up or ahead.

A closer look

The word is used in cash games to describe the result in a session, and players often say it with a number. It is a bad idea to play longer only to get unstuck, since each hand is independent. Make decisions based on the game, not on the results. Leave when the game is poor or you are tired, not because of your result.

A practical example

A player says he is stuck $400 and wants to win it back, but a friend advises him to stop.
