Counterfeit
To counterfeit a hand is to have its value cancelled because the board makes a better version of the same hand.
Double Suited
Double suited is an Omaha starting hand with two cards of one suit and two cards of another.
Flop
The flop is the first three community cards, dealt face up together after the first round of betting in Hold'em and Omaha. It is also the name of the second round of betting, which takes place once those cards are on the table.
Flop Games
Flop games are poker games, such as Hold'em and Omaha, played with community cards dealt face up in the center of the table.
Omaha
Omaha is a poker game similar to Hold'em in which each player gets four hole cards and must use exactly two of them with exactly three of the five community cards. The most popular forms are pot-limit Omaha and Omaha hi-lo.
Playing the Board
Playing the board means that your best five-card hand is made of the five community cards. Anyone who plays the board and nobody has a better hand splits the pot.
River
The river is the fifth and last community card in Hold'em and Omaha, dealt after the turn betting. It is followed by the final betting round and a showdown. It is also called fifth street.
Turn
The turn is the fourth community card in Hold'em and Omaha, dealt face up after the flop betting round. It is also called fourth street. A round of betting follows it.
Wrap
A wrap is a straight draw in Omaha that has nine or more outs, made from two board cards and three or four of your hole cards. It can have up to 20 outs, which makes it much stronger than an open-ended draw in Hold'em.
Wraparound
A wraparound is an Omaha hand in which three of your four hole cards are consecutive and combine with two cards of the flop to make five connected cards, so that many cards on the turn and river complete a straight.
