Flop Games
Flop games are poker games, such as Hold'em and Omaha, played with community cards dealt face up in the center of the table.
The simple explanation
In a flop game, all players share some cards. After the first betting round, three cards, the flop, are dealt together, and then two more cards follow.
A closer look
Flop games differ from draw and stud games, where each player has his own cards. Because the board is shared, hands are often close and drawing odds matter. Omaha is also a flop game, but each player has four hole cards and must use exactly two of them.
A practical example
A table is playing Hold'em, a flop game, and the dealer puts three community cards in the middle.
