Full Boat

A full boat is a full house: three of a kind with a pair. For example, three sevens and two kings is a full boat.

The simple explanation

If you have three cards of one rank and two cards of another, you have a full boat. It is also called a full house.

A closer look

A full boat is only beaten by four of a kind and a straight flush. When two players have a full boat, the higher three of a kind wins. If the three of a kind is the same, the pair decides. The name is a joke like full barn or full tub.

A practical example

A player shows 7♥ 7♦ 7♣ K♠ K♥: three sevens and two kings. He has a full boat.
